Key to HalfWave's technological offering is Acoustic Resonance Technology (ART).
ART is an ultra-wideband acoustic inspection technology which has been under development over
the past 20 years.
ART exploits half-wave resonance to give penetration and measurement capabilities which exceed
those of existing inspection technologies.
HalfWave develops this technology for a range of applications in the Oil & Gas, maritime, defence and medical sectors.
Our team comprises highly qualified personnel, specialized within Digital and Analog Electronics, Acoustics, Physics and Signal Processing. We are
based in Høvik, Norway with a development group in Portland, UK.
The ART unit has been established as a separate company - HalfWave AS - spun out from DNV, and
will further develop and commercialize the technology, primarily within Oil & Gas market segments.
HalfWave AS is jointly owned by Energy Ventures
and DNV.
