Software Engineer  


Location : Oslo, Norway

The software group is responsible for developing and maintaining algorithms, tools and applications for working directly with the in-line pipeline inspection tools, processing of huge amount of acoustic data and analysis tools for inspecting hundreds of kilometers of pipelines.
The tasks range from signal processing of acoustic signals and binary data to GUI-applications, relational databases, web services and computer clusters.
You will take a leading role in a small team of developers and be responsible for design and development, and take a major role in the future of the software team.

  • Agile software development with continuous development and automated testing

  • Signal processing, imaging or acoustics is an advantage.

Project Execution Engineer  


Location : Houston,Texas
 
You will be responsible for the project execution including all field activities and part of your responsibility will be the project coordination internally in collaboration with the project management team. 
  • QA/QC, technical documentation and leading the operations according to internal/external processes and procedures will be part of your activities.   
  • The position requires a basic understanding of pipeline operations. 
  • Good leadership skillset required. 
  • You will report directly to the Operations Manager. 
  • Occasional travel domestic and international may be required. 
   
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Coordination and execution of field activities 
  • Technical lead of field activities
  • Technical point of contact as first escalation level to clients
  • Coordination of inspection tools and equipment in collaboration with the operations manager according to project execution plan
  • Focus on QA/QC in compliance with Halfwave policies and standards as well as local laws, rules and regulations 
 
Preferred qualifications and personal qualities:
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Fluent verbal and written English skills

In-Line Inspection Maintenance Specialist

 
Location : Houston, Texas
 
You will be responsible for the overall maintenance as far as modifying, assembling and testing of inline inspection tools and equipment and part of your responsibilities will be the overall coordination of all shop activities. 
  • QA/QC, technical documentation, monitoring of processes and procedures will be part of your daily activities.   
  • The position requires a basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical disciplines. 
  • Good leadership skillset required. 
  • You will report directly to the Operations Manager. 
  • Occasional travel domestic and international may be required. 
  
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Coordination of all workshop activities 
  • Technical lead of workshop activities
  • Logistical activities including shipping and receiving
  • Coordination of inspection tools and equipment in collaboration with the operations manager according to project execution plan
  • Focus on QA/QC in compliance with Halfwave policies and standards as well as local laws, rules and regulations

Electronics Design Engineer

Location : Bergen, Norway

We have an available position for an Electronics Design Engineer based in Bergen with experience in both electronic system design and hands on testing.
 
The ideal person will be capable of leading the technical aspects of new product design and development  for both commercial and internally funded projects in relation to in line pipeline inspection.  Utilising competencies and experience of a small core team of engineers and external sub contractors as required.
 
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

General
  • Provide technical design support in the development of new systems and configurations for in line pipeline inspection systems
  • Integrate into a multi disciplinary team of engineers but to take technical leadership for this discipline on specific projects 

Leadership
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Assuming technical disciplinary leadership within that team
  • Ability to take lead functional responsibility utilizing both internal and external design subcontractors as and when required.
  • Providing technical guidance within his/her field 

Ownership and Accountability

Position : Scientist acoustics

Location : Bergen

We have an available position for a scientist with specialization within physical acoustics to perform acoustic based R&D in-line with company strategies and plans for Halfwave subsea. The person will provide detailed technical support to commercial and development projects within Halfwave Subsea, and will participate as technical project member in projects that demand acoustic development.
 
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

General
  • Participate in development projects in-line with R&D plans for Halfwave subsea, provide theoretical and technical support to projects and operations, and design and perform acoustical experiments accordingly. Conduct experiments and testing in the laboratory. Support the operational team to develop new acoustic based applications. Develop new IP and follow potential patent applications 
Leadership
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team

  • Providing technical guidance within his/her field
